Tantalizing Tuesday with Sam Crescent

1. Do you use a pen name? If so, why?

Yes, Sam Crescent is a pen name. Many personal reasons and because when I’m writing I like the personality of Sam because she’s completely devoted to her writing.

2. What is your favorite novel that you’ve written? Read?

I could not pick a favourite. I love all of my work for many different reasons. Blackmailed by the Beast will always hold a special place in my heart, purely because of how many people have got in touch and told me they enjoyed it.

3. Does the environment affect your writing (where you live, the seasons, the weather, etc.)?

I think the seasons affect my writing. I’m not good with the summer and my pieces tend to get a little violent lol. I started my vampire series which I have with Total-E-Bound in the summer.

My favourite season is winter but I have no trouble writing at all.

4. Where is your favorite/most bizarre place to have your characters boink?

Now I’m feeling lame lol. I can’t think of a single strange place for my characters to get it on. I hang my head in shame but beware, I will be writing something in the future lol.

5. Do you base your heroines/heroes on photos of celebrities? If so, who?

No, I don’t like my characters to resemble people I’ve seen. One, I never want to get the two mixed up and secondly, I never want anything but my muse and imagination at work when I’m writing. This is one of the reasons why I like to work on fictional towns and places.

6. Bonus question! What’s the last thing you ate today?

I’m actually writing this first thing and I still haven’t eaten, so last night I had some chocolate before bed lol.

Free book giveaway!

I will give one commenter a free copy of Belonging to the Steer Brothers.

Author details:

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011.

She loves creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

  1. Nice interview – I like to learn tidbits about authors. It amazes me how many write more than one genre and have pen names for each genre. 🙂

  2. i loved the unlikely love series and its good to read about chuckier women. Those were beautiful stories and i could read them all over again.
