When a meteor explodes over Atlanta, infecting the world with a virus that turns people into zombies, Lark knows survival will be difficult. Her roommate and best friend insists that her father and his best friend will come and save them, but Lark isn’t sure if she wants to put her life into the hands of strangers. Unfortunately, when the zombies come, she may have no choice. And when Ben and Dillon break into their dorm in the nick of time, Lark finds herself reevaluating her insistence on independence.
Tragedy brings them together. The fight to survive creates a bond stronger than blood in a few short days. What’s a girl to do when faced with the zombie apocalypse? Does she trust in the two men she knows will keep her alive, or does she strike out on her own?
Why is Ben Greene my book boyfriend? Read on to find out:
Erin: So, Ben, you saved Lark from the zombies. Does being a hero come naturally to you?
Ben: No, are you kidding? I’m not a hero. I’m not anyone’s hero. But I couldn’t let her die. Not after she’d tried so hard to save my daughter, Olivia.
Erin: When did you realize that Lark and Dillon were falling for you? Did you know what was happening?
Ben: I didn’t, not at first. I mean, Lark was so much younger than me, I couldn’t believe what I was feeling for her, let alone deal with what she was feeling for me. As for Dillon, well, that was a total surprise. I never expected to feel like that about another man.
Erin: Do you regret loving Lark? Or Dillon?
Ben: No. Never. There are so few of us left now, love is precious no matter where you find it.
Erin: What about the zombies? Where did you learn how to use a machete like that?
Ben: *laughing* I didn’t take zombie killing lessons, if that’s what you mean. I do what I need to survive and protect my family.
Erin: Lark seems pretty capable of protecting herself. So does Dillon.
Ben: Doesn’t matter. Everyone needs backup. The stronger we are, the longer we’ll live.
Erin: What about happily ever after?
Ben: *long pause* I’m happy now, as ridiculous as that sounds. Even if I die tomorrow, I’ll have lived knowing that I loved the best that I could.

What I think makes Ben the ideal man is the fact he does what he can to protect his family. There’s no shame about the fact that he fell for a man as he said love is precious no matter where you find it. Thank you for the hop and interview.

I think it’s that Ben is very humble and matter of the fact. He doesn’t see himself as a hero, he just does what he needs to to protect those he loves. He recognizes that his family can protect themselves as well. He’s not overbearing or full of himself.

This comment from him says it all: “I’m happy now, as ridiculous as that sounds. Even if I die tomorrow, I’ll have lived knowing that I loved the best that I could.”
A man with that outlook is an ideal man. He does the best he can to take care home.

“I’m not anyone’s hero. But I couldn’t let her die.” He seems like a good, caring, loving and honest man at heart. These are the qualities a woman looks for a man (no matter how much she says she likes a cheeky serial-dater). Of course, the hot guys are good to show off but not good enough in a relationship.
Oh! Forgot to tell you that I have followed you both in Twitter and Facebook.
he sounds easy going, far better than the in-your-face most alphas are – regnod(at)yahoo(d0t)com
hmm, name got messed up there
He’s very humble, the kind of guy that doesn’t need the glory. He does good things because it’s the right thing to do.
