It’s Christmas Eve and billionaire Alex Roman screwed up. He promised his boyfriend, Jesse, that he’d be home for the holidays, but he went to a last minute meeting in the city and got trapped in a snowstorm. Now he must face a fate worse than death: spending the night in a strange motel. Alone.

Jesse Emerson thought he could trust his boyfriend to stay home when it’s snowing outside. After all, his father and Alex’s grandfather died in a blizzard, and since that fateful day, neither of them enjoys winter weather. Instead, Alex is nowhere to be found. Jesse has no choice but to head out into the storm to find his wayward lover.

When darkness falls and ice blankets the roads, will the magic of Christmas Eve somehow bring Jesse and Alex back together, or will both men perish in the cold, lost and alone?

Story Excerpt:

“You shouldn’t have left in the first place! You didn’t need to go into the city on Christmas Eve, Alex,” Jesse yelled, starting to pace. “It was stupid and dangerous.”

Alex watched him, trying to control his temper. A small part of him admired the way Jesse’s strong shoulders moved in his black sweater. Anger did not in any way detract from Jesse’s overall hotness. His more impatient side, however, wanted nothing more than to lash out at his boyfriend. He hadn’t needed the reminder about his grandfather’s death. He’d already thought about it. “I needed to close this deal, you know that, Alex. If I hadn’t met with them today, it would’ve fallen through. Mr. Jikomoto is flying back to Tokyo tomorrow.”

Jesse stopped and glared. “You’re richer than God. You didn’t need this deal. You could take off for twenty years and still not blow through all the money you have sitting in the bank.”

Alex strode over to him and got in his face. “I don’t tell you how to take care of security or how to fucking clean your gun. Don’t tell me how to run my business.” He was close enough to smell Jesse’s skin. His face went hot, with anger or arousal—he wasn’t sure which. Maybe both, he thought as he curled his fingers into fists. His cock swelled, but he ignored it.

Abruptly, Jesse grabbed him again, dragging him and shoving him up against the rough stone of the fireplace. “Fuck you, Alex. I know as much as you do about running your fucking business. I also know that you could’ve died out there tonight.” He sucked in an angry breath. “Hell, maybe I should’ve stayed home. Left you to freeze to death. You certainly don’t seem happy to see me.”

Alex grabbed Jesse’s arms and yanked him around. This time he was the one doing the shoving. “Shut up, Jesse,” he panted, enraged. “Before you say something you regret.” His heart pounded as he pushed his body into Jesse’s. He was so angry, his head felt light, as if the top of his skull was about to come off.

Jesse growled and wrapped his arms around Alex’s neck, pulling him forward. When their mouths collided, he bit Alex’s lower lip, and not gently either.

Alex went rigid, then he kissed Jesse back. It felt more like a fight than a kiss, but he didn’t care. His skin was tight and hot and he didn’t know what the fuck they were doing.

“Fuck, Alex. Fuck,” Jesse muttered, then he bit down on Alex’s neck, worrying at the skin with his teeth.

Alex’s cock went from half-hard to fully erect in less than a second. He sank his fingers into Jesse’s hair and squeezed. Jesse made a sound in the back of his throat, and then he was ripping at Alex’s shirt. Buttons went flying. Alex gasped as Jesse pulled his shirt down, trapping his hands behind him.

“Don’t fucking move, Alex,” he said, then he went to his knees and undid Alex’s pants.

When you’re a thief and you’re dating two cops, life can be tricky—especially when you stumble across your boys in the middle of a heist. When you’re a cop and you’re dating a sexy thief, life isn’t just weird. It’s dangerous.

Blue is falling for her two new boyfriends, but they’re having trouble finding time to be together. Being a thief is crazy. And a cop’s work is never done. When you don’t have time to date, you steal any kind of alone time that you can. So what if Liam and Matt are tied up in the middle of a murder investigation?

Matt and Liam never expected to find themselves bound together in a basement. When Blue stumbles over them, she offers them something much more risky than freedom: herself. Because she’s not a saint. She’s a very, very naughty thief, and when her boys neglect her, they must pay her price if they want to win her heart.

Be warned: menage sex (MMF), anal sex, bondage

Chapter One Teaser:

Blue inched her way along yet another ventilation shaft. Feels like I spend half my life in these things, she mused as she rubbed the itch out of her nose. This one was thick with dust and other things she didn’t care to think about too closely, but she moved carefully and slowly. She did not want to get stuck. On television, the life of a thief looked glamorous and exciting, but the reality was a hell of a lot less fun. Keep it together, Blue, she told herself. Another hour and you’ll be home with the boys.

She wiggled a little, then rolled to the right so that she could fit through the small space easier. This shaft was in an old, brick building and it eventually opened into a crawl space that ran between two firewalls. She’d had to climb the walls to get to the fourth floor. She wasn’t looking forward to climbing back down. She shimmied some more, and then relaxed when she finally got to the opening. She edged into the crawl space deliberately, not wanting to plummet head first to her death. When she was mostly out, she reached above the airshaft and grabbed some protruding pipes with her fingers. The entire process consisted of one part adrenaline, one part brute force, and two parts good luck. To be completely honest, it kind of felt like dating. Dangling from old pipes in the middle of a cramped space—yeah. This is exactly what dating feels like, she thought. And the two men she was seeing had no idea that she was still rather bemused and uncertain about the entire thing.

Good thing this old plumbing is mostly solid, she thought, easing the bottom half of her body out of the ventilation tube. Soon she was climbing down, thinking about the yummy lasagna Matt had promised her. When something clanged just below her, however, her thoughts scattered. Her heart pounded so loudly for a moment she couldn’t hear a damn thing, but then a few seconds later the noise clanged again, reverberating up through the pipes she was using as a handhold.

“Shit,” she breathed, easing hand over hand even more slowly. The pipes knocked again and she looked down, but saw nothing but darkness. She rolled her lower lip between her teeth, thinking hard. If she kept going, she might end up in a dangerous situation. If she climbed back up, she’d probably have to wait until morning to leave the building the regular way.

“Shit,” she repeated to herself, then began to quickly climb the rest of the way down. When she reached the ground, she flattened herself against the brick and shuffled silently to the right. She trailed her fingers along the wall in front of her. After a few feet, her fingers touched the loose board that covered the hole to the basement.

I really want that lasagna for dinner, Blue thought, imagining a romantic dinner with her two boyfriends. They had only been dating for a few weeks, and between her schedule and theirs, they hadn’t been able to spend much time together. Tonight was supposed to be their first full night together. She’d been looking forward to it all week. She took a deep breath and crouched down, then carefully pulled the board away from the wall. She put her eye to the crack just as a light clicked on across the basement. She blinked back tears as her eyes watered from the brightness. The bulb swung from a wire tacked into the old ceiling beam.

Dammit. That smarts. A good thief worked in darkness as much as possible, and Blue was a very, very good thief. Her eyes had adjusted to the dark an hour ago. Oh well, nothing I can do about it. She squinted and put her eye back to the crack, but all she could see were boxes piled haphazardly against the far wall, near the steps. Her angle of view sucked.

“How did we get ourselves in this situation again?”

Blue froze, willing her heart to stay in her chest. Matt? What the hell is he doing here?

“We were chasing a lead,” Liam said laconically.

And Liam, too? Of all the crappy luck, Blue thought, wishing she could bang her head on the wall. Unfortunately, it would make too much noise and give away her position.

“And you chased your lead right into the middle of my drug deal,” another man said.

“We could care less about your operation, Mr. Fozza. You know that,” Matt said carefully.

Blue frowned. She recognized the name from the pawnshop owner’s illegal book she’d stolen a few weeks ago. Fozza was one of the men who handled marijuana distribution in the city. From what she’d been able to find out from her contacts, he was pretty high up in his organization. Thankfully, he wasn’t prone to irrational bursts of random violence and he had a good reputation for keeping his word. Her boys should be okay if they kept their mouths shut. She hoped they would. She didn’t know them well enough yet to predict how they would behave in a dangerous situation.

Bullshit, her memory told her. You know exactly how they’ll behave. You were in a shootout with them, remember? Blue pressed her lips together and banished the memory of the men protecting her.

“I know that, and you know that, but the men who I’m meeting with upstairs don’t know that,” Fozza replied.

“Just let us go and we’ll get out of your hair. Problem solved,” Liam said.

Blue heard a rustling sound.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t take the chance. You’re going to have to stay here for a bit. I’ll figure out what to do with you later.”

“Fozza—” Matt began, but the man interrupted him.

“Sorry about this, Mr. Detective. Sit tight and be quiet.”

The sound of boxes being dragged and then a door being shut and locked told Blue that Fozza had left. She leaned down to the crack again, but still couldn’t see anything. “Dammit,” she murmured under her breath. She eased the wood out and leaned it against the opposite wall, then stuck her head fully into the opening. Matt and Liam were on the floor, tied back-to-back, from their elbows to their hands. They’d been blindfolded, too. Matt wore a black t-shirt and jeans. Liam wore a green button down shirt. Neither of them had their weapons or badges.

Huh. This is interesting, she thought, smiling speculatively. She glanced at the stairs. No way to get out the way she came in, at least not right now. Fozza had undoubtedly locked the door. She eyed the single small window near the ceiling. She could squirm out that way, but neither Matt nor Liam’s shoulders were small enough to fit.

“Well, this sucks, big time,” Matt complained. “I promised Blue I’d make lasagna tonight.”

We promised her lasagna,” Liam muttered, struggling against the zip ties binding his arms to Matt’s. “And now we’ll probably miss dinner altogether.”

“Stop that,” Matt said, banging his head back against his partner’s.

“Ow,” Liam complained, struggling harder.

“Liam, stop struggling. You’re making it worse.”

Liam growled. “I think one of the ties is loose.”

Matt sighed. “Even if one is loose, it’s not going to help much and you know it. Just sit tight. He’ll let us go when he’s done.”

Liam slumped down. “I don’t want to miss our date.”

“I don’t either.”

Blue smiled to herself. None of them were going anywhere, but that didn’t mean they had to skip their date. She slowly eased into the room, then walked across until she stood in front of her men. “Well, I was expecting pasta, but this isn’t so bad.”

Matt started violently. “Blue?”

She smiled, knowing he couldn’t see her. “The one and only.”

“What are you doing here? You’re not mixed up with Fozza, are you?” Liam asked, frowning.

“No. I was here to work on a completely different job in the building next door.” She could see that Liam wasn’t happy about her being here. “Don’t worry. No one knows I’m here.”

“Blue—” Liam said, but his partner cut him off.

“Shut up, Liam. I don’t care why she’s here.” Matt tilted his head in her direction. “Can you untie us and get us out?”

Blue tapped her lip, then slid off her glove. “Sorry, nope.”

Liam frowned even more. “What do you mean, ‘nope’?”

“Your friend, Fozza, blocked and locked the door. And the two of you are too big to fit out the window,” she explained.

“Dammit,” Liam muttered.

“Well, where did you come from, Blue? Maybe we can leave that way,” Matt said, reasonably.

“Unfortunately not. We’d have to climb back up the walls, crawl through a ventilation shaft, and then hide out in a closet until morning.” Blue slid off her other glove and stepped closer. She wanted to touch them, badly. She licked her lips. There was something undeniably sexy about having two big men tied up and at her mercy.

“We’ve hid in a closet before,” Matt said, a hint of humor in his voice.

Blue smiled. “All three of us won’t fit in this one.” Silence greeted her pronouncement. “I could probably go out the window and sneak back in and open the door.”

“No way,” Matt argued. “It’s too dangerous. Fozza is up there somewhere.”

“He’s right,” Liam agreed.

“Could you at least untie us? Please?” Matt asked.

Blue walked closer, then leaned down and ran her fingers over his face. “Hmm.” Matt’s stubble pricked her fingertips. She liked that. She knelt down and thought about exactly what she wanted to do.

“Hmm? What do you mean, ‘hmm’?” Liam sounded outraged. He pulled against the zip ties again, making Matt wince.

She chuckled and leaned over to cup Liam’s cheek. His skin was smooth-shaven, in contrast to his friend’s jawline. “I kind of like you at my mercy like this.” She ran a thumb over his lips.

He went perfectly still. “Blue, what are you doing?”

She bit her lip, then leaned in and kissed him, open-mouthed. He shuddered, but couldn’t pull away. He had no choice but to kiss her back.

“Liam? What’s she doing?” Matt asked. It was his turn to struggle.

“Stop struggling,” she said, putting her hands on their arms. “I don’t want you to hurt yourselves.”

“Blue?”

In answer, she kissed him, too. It really is delightfully convenient that they’re tied so closely together, she mused, enjoying the way his full lips immediately coaxed hers apart. He slipped his tongue inside her mouth and her breath quickened.

“She’s kissing you, isn’t she?” Liam asked.

Blue grinned against Matt’s mouth. “Uh-huh.”

“Jesus,” Liam muttered.

She couldn’t resist. She ran her hand up his jaw and turned his head, kissing him, and then going back to Matt. She kissed them both again and again, taking turns until they were all out of breath.

Billionaire Alex Roman needs a bodyguard. His best friend, Jesse Emerson, an ex-Security Forces Specialist, needs a job. What could possibly go wrong?

Jesse thinks protecting Alex will be a piece of cake. He’ll get to spend quality time with his oldest friend while avoiding his ex-girlfriend. Of course, nothing ever goes as planned. Why would Alex introduce him to everyone as his lover? And why didn’t Alex tell him about the threatening notes he’s been receiving for months?

Alex has been in love with Jesse for years, not that he’d ever admit it to his best friend, but he’s not above making a practical joke out of it. Telling everyone that Jesse is his boyfriend will go a long way toward relieving the stress of the threats he’s been plagued with recently. Unfortunately, when someone tries to shoot him at a charity gala, he discovers that maybe he needs Jesse’s skills more than he realized…

…because sometimes a billionaire’s best friend is the fake boyfriend who’s really his bodyguard.

 Chapter One Excerpt:

Alex Roman opened his front door, paused, then stepped back resignedly. His best friend Jesse barreled past him and into the house with his military duffel over his shoulder. It bulged at the seams, as if Jesse had stuffed every article of clothing he owned inside and then added an extra pair of pants just for kicks. In his hands, a box overflowed with more belongings.

“I can’t do it anymore, Alex. I just can’t,” Jesse said, awkwardly shrugging the bag onto the marble floor of the foyer while simultaneously trying to juggle the box.

Alex winced as his right shoulder twinged in sympathy. He didn’t know elbows could turn that direction.

“She’s making me crazy,” Jesse continued, the box tilting dangerously. He frowned and set it down next to the duffel. “She told me that I was ‘emotionally unavailable,’ but what does she care? She dumped me six months ago. We’re not even dating anymore.” He grabbed his hair with both hands and made a face that had Alex smiling despite the late hour, the weird luggage, and Jesse’s total lack of consideration for the fact that other people sleep at three a.m.

“And really, who says that?” Jesse continued, oblivious to Alex’s amusement. “She probably lifted that phrase from some chick flick. Or a romance novel, or something. She can’t even argue without quoting from someone else!”

“Why didn’t you just use your key to let yourself into my house?” Alex asked mildly, cutting Jesse off in mid-rant. He closed and locked the front door, then reset the alarm.

“Key?” Jesse blinked at him. “My hands were full. No way I could’ve gotten my keys out. I could barely ring the doorbell.”

“It’s the middle of the night,” Alex pointed out.

Jesse shrugged. “So?”

“So, maybe I was asleep.”

“You never sleep.” Jesse made a face. “Well, not at night anyway. Aren’t the overseas markets trading?”

Alex rolled his eyes and walked away, heading toward his study. Jesse was right. He’d been trading, not that it mattered. He’d just finished up for the night when the doorbell rang.

“I can stay, right?” Jesse called. “You’re not going to kick me out, are you?”

Alex smiled to himself as he walked through the elaborate wooden doors that led into his oversized and rather opulent office. He stared at the marble fireplace and shook his head. He hated it. He’d always hated it. The pink stone made the stained walnut paneling look diseased, but it came with the house, so he had to live with it, along with the pretentious vases and expensive rugs. He far preferred the sleek modernity of his office in Manhattan, but he couldn’t destroy the house he’d inherited just because he didn’t like a few things. His grandfather would roll in his grave if he renovated too much. Hmm, but maybe a few things here and there would be okay. It’s my house now, after all.

“Alex?”

“No, I’m not going to kick you out. You don’t even have to ask. You know that,” Alex replied, dismissing memories of his grandfather. He’d loved that old man more than anyone, but maybe it was time to get over his death. It had been six years, after all. He walked across a priceless Persian carpet to his grandfather’s hand-carved desk. His laptop sat on top, sleek and metallic, looking like something from outer space in comparison to the warm, gleaming wood. He leaned on the desk and tapped a few commands into the computer, shutting it down.

“Um, well, I might be here longer than usual,” Jesse said.

Alex looked up from the screen. “Longer than a few days?” That would be nice, but definitely unusual.

Jesse looked embarrassed. “There’s six months left on the lease of my apartment.”

“So?”

“So, I can’t kick her out. Do you know how hard it is to find housing in Manhattan?” Jesse dropped into the leather sofa in front of Alex’s desk and swung a leg up over the arm insouciantly. He looked like a cat marking his spot: all graceful muscle and lazy attitude.

Alex forced his eyes away from his friend’s toned arms. “Yes, I do know, but it’s your apartment, not hers. You got it before you went into the Air Force.” He didn’t understand Jesse’s dilemma. “You had it long before you met her. Plus, she’s not your girlfriend anymore. Ergo, not your problem. Just tell her she has to go. Give her a week’s notice.”

“She begged me, Alex.”

“She also dumped you, remember?” Alex closed his laptop and rubbed his eyes. He really, really, wished Jesse wouldn’t date losers. He invariably hated the women his best friend picked, and when they broke up, as always, he hated the way Jesse moped around even more. A sad and defeated Jesse made Alex want to do something drastic.

Like kiss him. Or bitch-slap his ex. Neither of those options would end well for anyone. He sighed. “You know you’re welcome to stay here for as long as you like. Forever, even. I’ve told you that before.” He frowned as he looked at his friend. Jesse’s blue eyes were bloodshot and tired. “You need to get some rest.”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me, man. My relationships never work out.” Jesse craned his head back, eyes flickering over the mural on the ceiling. “I mean, you don’t think I’m emotionally unavailable, do you?”

Alex grimaced. “No, I don’t. Do we really have to talk about this? Why can’t we just drink some booze and call it a night?”

“She said that I kept part of my heart locked away.” Jesse slumped further down the sofa. “Where does she think I put it? In a jar? Ugh.”

Alex didn’t want to tell his best friend that he probably spent too much time with him and not enough time with her. He’d never even met the woman, but he knew that’s what she thought. Any woman would be angry about having to share her time with some unknown friend. He had no intention of bringing it up, though. Because you’re a selfish bastard, and you don’t want him to stop hanging out with you, especially now that he’s back home for good, he told himself. “Are we actually having a relationship conversation?” He walked over to the sideboard and poured himself a shot of brandy. “If so, I need fortification,” he muttered.

“I’m not emotionally unavailable,” Jesse repeated morosely. “I’m reserved. I’m not into big scenes and all that crap.”

“You look pretty emotional to me right now,” Alex said, handing him a glass.

Jesse took it and sipped. “Gee, thanks.”

Alex ignored his friend’s sarcasm to sip his own drink. Maybe I’ll be able to sleep now. Truth was, he always slept better when Jesse stayed over. He’d spent years worrying about his friend when he’d been deployed overseas.

“So what if I don’t want to get married? Is that a crime?” Jesse continued to mutter.

Alex wondered if Jesse knew he was having the entire conversation all by himself.

“And her mother is crazy.” He looked at Alex and made a face. “I mean, C R A Z Y,” he spelled the word out. “With all caps and bells on.”

“You wouldn’t be marrying her mother,” Alex said, shoving Jesse’s legs out of the way and slumping down onto the sofa. Damn, he was tired. He should really just go to bed and let Alex ramble on alone.

Jesse gave him a pitying look. “I know you don’t date much, and that statement proves it. Women turn into their mothers, dude. Happens every time.”

“I don’t date at all,” Alex reminded him.

Jesse fell silent for a moment. “Huh. That’s true. I can’t remember the last time you went out.”

“Seven years ago,” Alex said, closing his eyes. “Rob. The stylist.”

Jesse chuckled. “He was a piece of work. When he broke your grandpa’s precious candelabra, I thought the old man was going to commit murder.”

Alex grinned, remembering his grandpa’s face. “That was a good day.”

“The day your grandfather stabbed your boyfriend with his cane? That’s what you call a good day?” Jesse was outright laughing now. “He had to get stitches!”

“He wasn’t my boyfriend. He was just a date.” Alex wrinkled his nose. “Before that it was the girl from your kickboxing class in high school, what was her name…” He snapped his fingers, trying to remember.

“Claire, holy shit. How can you forget her? She had boobs to die for,” Jesse said, snickering. “She’s the whole reason I took that class.”

Alex opened his eyes. Jesse was curving his hands in front of him, trying to describe Claire’s figure. He looked like a ten year old. “Jesse, Jesus. Get a grip on yourself.”

“They were impressive, Alex. I still can’t believe those two assets didn’t work out for you.” He lifted his eyebrows up and down like an idiot.

“Let’s just say that she wasn’t the best conversationalist and leave it at that.” Alex remembered her screeching in bed all too well. Awful.

“Well, I don’t know why you’re such a hermit. You’re bi. You have twice the number of possible individuals to ask out.” Jesse finished off his brandy and set the glass on the side table, then slouched down into the sofa even further. “How does that work again, exactly?”

Alex rolled his eyes. “I date the person, not their genitals. It’s not particularly complicated.”

Jesse snorted. “Uh huh. If I tried to date a guy, I would have no idea what to do.”

“Men are actually easier,” Alex said, smiling. At least the conversation had shifted away from Jesse’s emotional deficiencies. He’d been afraid his friend was going to start crying. The horror.

“Easier? Are you kidding me? No way.”

“You already know how all the plumbing works,” Alex said, just to get his friend going. “No user manual required.” He grinned evilly, making his own motions with his hands.

Jesse sat up and glared at him. “You are insane, you know that?” He pointed at Alex’s head. “Totally nuts.”

“Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.” Alex said, then lightly cupped his junk, just to be as irritating as possible.

“Uh, no thank you.” Jesse made a face.

Alex laughed, not in the least fazed. “Whatever. I’m going to bed. You know the way to your room.” He stood up and stretched, ignoring, once again, the way Jesse’s eyes followed his body. His best friend had been looking at him that way for years and after so long, he knew it didn’t mean a damn thing, no matter how much he’d like for it to mean more. “Coming? You need your beauty rest.”

“Ugh. Fine, fine. You’re such a nag.” Jesse got up, yawning.

“I’m not a nag. It’s four a.m. and I’m tired.” He walked into the foyer. “Get your bag and hit the sack.”

“You really don’t sound like a normal rich boy, you know.” Jesse grabbed his duffel and trailed him up the curving staircase. “You obviously spent too much time down in the servants quarters growing up. How do you keep from scandalizing everyone with your low-brow sense of humor?”

“You mean, I spent too much time with you.” Alex led the way along the upstairs gallery, pausing near the room that had been Jesse’s for years. “If I sound low-brow, it’s your fault.”

“Well, my dad was your grandpa’s butler. Who else were you going to play with?” Jesse smirked, hand on the doorknob. “All those swanky assholes at your private school? They were the meanest bunch of kids I ever met. Don’t try to deny it.”

“No denials from me.” Alex’s smile twisted into a grimace. “They were cruel when they were kids, and now they’re all grown up.”

“Still mean, though,” Jesse pointed out.

“Cutthroat, actually.” Alex rubbed his face. “Well, you look better. See? There’s nothing a little brandy can’t fix.”

Jesse rolled his eyes. “Making fun of you helped, too.”

Alex shook his head, amused. Jesse always had to get the last word in. “Whatever. Goodnight.”

“Night,” Jesse echoed.

Alex walked down the gallery to his room, firmly putting the image of his best friend’s lean body from his mind.

Story Excerpt:

“You are not going to talk to the police again,” Jesse said firmly. “You’re going to let your lawyers deal with them.”

“Not a problem.” Alex laughed shortly and tipped his head back against the back of the seat. The limo slowly weaved between traffic, much later than he’d wanted to be getting home. The lights of the other cars flashed against his eyes, making him feel like he was stuck in an endless film noir. Across from him, Jesse checked his weapons, again, settling his underarm holster more firmly against his side. “I gave them a statement. That’s enough,” Alex murmured tiredly.

“That detective was such a dick.” Jesse rubbed his eyes. “What the hell was his problem?”

“He thought we were lovers.”

“That does not make me any less angry, Alex,” Jesse said, glaring out the window.

Alex shook his head. “You know how people are. I’m wealthy. He thinks that makes me a jerk. And he doesn’t like the idea that maybe I like taking it up the ass.” He rolled his shoulders, trying to ease the tension that had taken up residence in his spine. “It doesn’t matter. The police won’t find anything, anyway.”

“Jesus.” Jesse sighed and slumped down in the leather seat. “What the hell is going on, Alex? Those notes aren’t as innocuous as they seem.”

Alex watched Jesse, knowing he was right. He nudged Jesse’s foot with his toe. “Hey. You did all you could. You saved my life. Thank you.”

Jesse gave him a look.

“Don’t do that.” Alex leaned forward. “I would be dead if you hadn’t been there.”

Jesse clenched his fists. “Yeah. That’s why I’m so fucking upset, Alex. What if I hadn’t been there? It’s pure luck that I showed up at your door.” He shook his head. “I’m not leaving your side until this is resolved.”

Alex couldn’t control the tiny surge of joy that welled up inside him. “Um, that might get a bit awkward. Especially when I have to use the toilet.”

Jesse glared at him. “Someone’s trying to kill you and you’re making jokes.”

“What else can I do right now?” Alex asked, reasonably.

Jesse’s face tightened. “Shut up. Please, just… Be quiet for a minute, Alex.”

Alex watched his friend for a long moment. He knew Jesse better than anyone else in his life, and his friend was not happy right now. “I’m okay, Jesse. I’m alive.”

“Yeah.”

Alex pursed his lips, then he slid to his knees on the floor. He put a hand on Jesse’s right knee.

“What the hell are you doing?” Jesse asked, going rigid.

“What I should have done years ago,” Alex murmured, sliding his fingers up to his friend’s crotch. Jesse’s cock was hard.

“Fuck!” The word exploded out of Jesse as Alex cupped his erection.

“Relax. I’m not going to hurt you,” Alex murmured, running a finger along the firm length.

Jesse gave a strangled groan. “This is crazy.”

Alex looked up at him, hand going still. “That kiss was crazy.”

Jesse didn’t look away. “I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. I don’t know what the fuck you’re doing.”

Alex liked the way his friend didn’t deny what had happened. “I know. I don’t either,” he finally whispered, leaning closer. He put his cheek on Jesse’s thigh. It was warm and hard and shook just the tiniest bit. He wanted to bite it.

“Alex, I’m not gay. I’m not even bi,” Jesse ground out.

Alex had to laugh at that one. “Aren’t you?” He leaned back, then deliberately cupped Jesse’s prick, holding his friend’s gaze the entire time. Jesse’s blue eyes were dilated. “Then why are you so hard?”

Jesse swallowed. “I don’t know.”

Alex deliberately undid the button of Jesse’s pants, then slid the zipper down. Jesse’s cock pushed against his boxer-briefs, hot and sure. “Tell me to stop, and I will.”

Jesse’s entire body shuddered. “God, Alex…” he trailed off when Alex leaned closer and put his mouth over the head of his dick, breathing through the cotton. “Fuck!”

Alex grinned against the fabric, enjoying the musky scent of his friend. He rubbed his face against the hard length, then slowly peeled the fabric down until Jesse’s prick was exposed. As he stared at the deep ruby crown, moisture slid from the tiny slit. He licked his lips. Jesse’s thighs were iron-hard beneath his forearms.

“Do it,” Jesse said roughly. “Put me in your mouth.”

Alex glanced up. Jesse’s eyes glittered in the low light of the car. When the car drove over a pothole, Jesse’s erection bumped his chin.

“Jesus, Alex,” Jesse muttered, head going back as his eyes closed.

Alex couldn’t resist any longer. He didn’t want to resist. He leaned in and sucked the tip between his lips, playing his tongue across the smooth skin. Jesse moaned and Alex slid his hand around the hard length, holding it steady. He put his other hand on his own erection, pressing hard enough to hurt. He didn’t want to come in his pants like a teenager, but the sight of Jesse so messed up had him closer to orgasm than he’d realized. Jesse moaned again and Alex swirled his tongue faster, then sank down, opening wide. He stopped and sucked, then lightly scraped his teeth over the sensitive skin. He wanted to blow Jesse’s mind.

Mid Week Tease: Bestie Bodyguard again – #MWTease

MidWeekTease2

It’s Mid Week Tease time again, hosted by the delightful Sandra Bunino!

I’m still working on a my MM romantic comedy. It’s a story about a billionaire, his best friend/bodyguard, and their complete inability to understand that they belong together. The story has kind of gotten away from me… it was supposed to be a quick, short, funny read, and now it’s growing into a suspense/thriller. Gah! I’m plugging away at it though.

In the teaser below, Jesse and Alex are trying to come to grips with their relationship and the violence that seems to stalk them everywhere they go.

TEASER:

“Yeah, yeah,” Alex replied, smiling.

Jesse shifted. “So maybe I was bi and I didn’t tell anyone.”

“How did that work out for you?” Alex asked, twining his fingers with Jesse’s. “I bet it was fun in the military.”

“I was too busy to worry about it,” Jesse said, hardly able to believe he was thinking about this. “I really didn’t think I was bisexual.”

“I’ve seen you checking guys out, Jesse.” Alex leaned back and gave him a look. “I’ve watched you do it for years.”

Jesse rubbed his face. “Yeah, well. I didn’t think about it consciously.”

Alex was silent for a long moment. “Maybe you didn’t. That’s why I didn’t push you until now.”

Jesse closed his eyes, unutterably grateful to have this man as his best friend. “I know. Thanks.” He shifted his weight again, making a face as the drying lube stuck to the sofa. “We need to get cleaned up.”

Alex nodded. “Yeah. And we need to do some research.”

Jesse stood up, ignoring the itch starting on his skin. “Your office is the best place for that.” He laughed, giving Alex a hand up. “Good thing my clothes fit you. We didn’t have time to pack.”

“Won’t they be looking for us there?”

Jesse shook his head. “They might be, but we’ve gotta start somewhere. You still have your carry license?”

“Yes.”

“Good. I’ve got a Beretta with your name on it,” Jesse said.

“I don’t like guns,” Alex told him. “You know that.”

Jesse gave him a long look. “You do now.”
