Work in Progress

18 mar 2020

Hello everyone! It has TRULY been a long long time since I updated you on my life and writing. Of course, like everyone else, I’ve been dealing with this new and terrifying reality that includes Coronavirus (COVID-19) and trying to keep myself and my family safe and healthy. I wish the world weren’t so scary right now, but here we are. So far, we are fine. Fingers crossed.

As for the past year: I have been tackling a bunch of very annoying health issues and I’ve come out the other side (sort of). Here is a quick rundown: basically, my lungs went crazy last year and I couldn’t breathe right. Doctors have finally determined that it is allergies, and those allergies are now always switched on somehow, even without the presence of allergens. This problem leads to many sinus infections, and that leads to antibiotics, and that leads to stomach issues, etc. and I can assure you we are all very much sick of my snot troubles here, LOL.

I also had hip problems (torn tendon, inflamed tendons, fluid buildup), and I’m hoping that those resolve now that I’ve had many exciting treatments for that. It’s a waiting game right now to see if it works.

Anyway, this is all just to say: whoops! I had a bit of trouble writing with the insane sinus headaches I’ve been getting. It makes it a wee bit difficult to concentrate. But there is GOOD news! Magic Never Lies is coming April 3!

I am still planning on reworking two stories and getting them out to you via self-publishing this summer. I have a lot of work ahead as I learn how to do this, so please bear with me. I’m excited about them!

Please stay as safe as you can in these terribly uncertain times. We are in this together. Sending my love to all my readers!

    • Hi Sarah! I love the Dream Marked series too, and I have so many ideas! Hopefully I’ll be able to get to it soon, maybe a release sometime next year. πŸ™‚ Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I love the Dream series soooo much. The first is still my fav though. You teased us with a possible new trio….you know who lol. Please, please, please write that story! My brain is already overloading on all the possibilities that group would face due to his “career” lol. Pwetty, pwetty, pwease? I’m begging you lol.

    • Hi Crystal, so glad you stopped by. You are not the first person to write to me and ask this question. I’ve decided to begin writing a new Dream Marked novel…. today! I woke up with an idea that just wouldn’t leave me be until I wrote it down. Thank you for prodding me into action. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Tia,

Unfortunately, I have no idea. When I began the Angel Shifters series, I just sat down and started writing. I didn’t plot out a series arc, so instead of it being a super-long story with multiple books, it’s more of an open-ended world with many characters I may or may not explore as the muse inspires me. πŸ™‚ Thanks for asking!

  2. I can’t wait for you to bring out another Dream Marked book!! That is of course if the series is not done yet!!!!! πŸ™‚

    • Thank you so much! I’m so glad you liked Rock Star Baby… I’m hoping to write more mpreg soon. I have some gay romance out, but Rock Star Baby is my only mpreg so far. πŸ˜€ Thank you so much for the support and for reading and your kind words. You really made my day!!!

    • Hi Tina! Thanks for asking. I’m not the fastest writer, but I have ideas coming out of my ears, LOL. Right now I’m working on a short story to get myself back in good writing shape. After that, I will be writing the rest of Alpha Shaman, book two of Bad Oak Boys (Gerwulf and Josh’s story). After that… hmm. It will be either book three of Bad Oak Boys or the next Stronghold series book, Dawn (Isaac’s story). I might write some more standalone short stories in-between the novels because I ❀ the short story form. πŸ˜€ #amwriting

  7. I just finished reading Rock Star and Alpha Shaman, can’t wait for the next in the series. You are one of my favourite authors. Don’t ever stop writing.

    • Sandra, thank you! I’m so happy you let me know how much you like my books. That really made my day. I will definitely keep writing! πŸ˜€ The next book in the Bad Oak series will be coming out soon!

  8. I just finished Wulfgang and noticed that Josh seemed to be mated with a child already. I checked it out and realized Alpha Shaman has not been released to Kobo even though Bad Oak Boys #1 & 3 are. Are there any plans to do so?

    • I’m so glad you liked The Nullifier, Terri! Thank you for reading! I don’t have an exact date yet, but The Fixer will be out probably sometime in late February or early March. As soon as Evernight gives me a date, I’ll be posting about it. πŸ˜€

  9. I keep checking back to see if you have any new books out. . .And will continue to do so! I hope your heath issues are resolving and life is looking better. On the mend. Take care of yourself and don’t forget about us because at least I haven’t forgotten about you! – Julie

    • Hi Julie! I really appreciate you checking in with me. I am still struggling a bit, although my ankle is good enough now to actually use it like a normal person, lol. I have half of a Bad Oak Boys sequel written, and I’m really hoping I can finish it sometime in 2022. I hope you are doing well! xoxo -Erin
